Lubbock Democratic Party 2008 Banquet
The Lubbock County Democratic Party will hold its 2008 Campaign Kick-Off Banquet in about a month. From their website:
On January 11, 2008 we will be hosting the Lubbock Kick Off for Election 2008. The event will start that evening at 6 p.m. at the Lubbock Holiday Inn Hotel at 801 Ave Q. Tickets are $60 each and discounts are available for our Sustaining Members. There will be a buffet dinner and cash bar.

These election-year Party Banquets are a wonderful way to meet the statewide candidates face-to-face, as well as the “prairie dog democrats” that stick their heads out every two or four years. Realizing that “there are more Democrats here than I thought!” is always good for the soul.
