I was thinking that your criticism of the Friday editorial might have struck a nerve.

Looking forward to your blog’s return.

  2. Lubbock Left Says:

Well, sorta. It should return “soon.”

  3. Clem Snide Says:

    What has happened?

  4. Buhda Says:

Clem snide. I guess you are not done?

  5. Lubbock Left Says:

Hey Clem. I think the lubbockonline version of my blog will return tomorrow. I had a discussion with the A-J editor and calm heads will prevail.

  6. fatdaddy Says:

Wait a second. They took you off because they didn’t like what you said? Seriously? Well, as Brother Chuck or Brother Bob or whatshisname is all too glad to tell you, I’m a moron, but even I can figure out that censorship is pretty un-American. They ought to be smarter than that.

Kenny, I don’t agree with … uh … anything you say. But I enjoy seeing a different point of view and I love the debate. I am deeply concerned if your lubbockonline blog disappeared for anything other than technical difficulties.

Uh oh! Shhhh. Quiet. Here comes Brother Bill or whatever the hell his name is. :)

(Oh, let the name calling begin!)

  7. Visitor Says:

I wouldn’t expect full disclosure of what’s going on from the AJ. Their die was cast a long time ago. But Kenny isn’t exactly being forthcoming about this either. He should publish names and tell the whole story in real time.

  8. Big Ronaldo Says:

Wow! I was planning on placing some ads in the paper for our organization. I may have to tell them I am having second thoughts.

  9. Lubbock Left Says:

Visitor, it’s true — I’d rather wait till this little saga completes itself before telling the story.

Like I said, I think cooler heads are prevailing and the lubbockonline.com version of this blog should return today.

  10. Visitor Says:

I can’t appreciate the need not to tell the whole story on your own blog in real time, Kenny.

They want you to be “a lone voice” for the other side and this is how they demonstrate a commitment to free speech. Thier actions are a far bigger story than almost anything you could write about their editorial board.

    This should be exposed.

  11. bobby Says:

    Kenny,

Very interesting. But I’ll leave it to your own judgment as to what you choose to disclose, if anything.

I believe that you made an irreproachable and sane rebuttal that reflects the views of a number of people in the community. Just the online responses to the editorial itself bear this out.

  12. Lubbock Left Says:

Visitor, it’s because I like to pick my battles. I don’t see the value in being confrontational to the A-J over what amounts to just a moment of lost temper.

    bobby — thanks. :)

fatdaddy — I always appreciate it when you stop by for good debate as well.

  13. Visitor Says:

    Kenny. Understood.
